Winter School in Accessibility

with ThyssenKrupp Encasa

The “Winter School in Accessibility with ThyssenKrupp Encasa” is a project organized by the University of Pavia in collaboration with ThyssenKrupp Encasa - http://www.encasa.it/ - held in Pavia from 4 to 7 December 2012.

It addressed the issue of accessibility and usability of one of the most historical buildings of the University of Pavia: Palazzo San Felice. The aim was to offer solutions to remove architectural and sensorial barriers, respecting the building's conservation.

There were 2 initiatives linked to “WSA”: the competition for the students attending the School and the travelling exhibition in all the participating Universities.

The students were from the University of Pavia (3 groups), the University of Cagliari (1 group), the Polytechnic of Torino (1 group) and Adrianea Accademy of Roma (1 group).
