Ph.D (in Architecture), Assistant Professor, Faculty of Architecture, University of Alicante, Spain, lectures in the subject Construction Materials for Constructive Systems. She is a member of the research group, "Materials and Construction Systems of Building" within the Architectural Constructions Department at University of Alicante. Her research is focused on the historical evolution of architectural enclosure technology (lightweight industrialised construction) up to the modern day, and also the application of instrumental techniques in buildings related to the energy efficiency and the diagnosis and analysis of constructive damages. She has participated in research projects and has published papers in several high impact journals in those fields.

Graduated in Architectural Design at the Polytechnic of Milan in 2001. He began his academic career by collaborating with Prof. Pier Federico Caliari within the course of Museum and exhibition design and co-supervising numerous graduation thesis. At the same time he worked with the architectural firm Freyrie&Pestalozza Associates Architects from May 2001 to July 2002, when he began to follow few projects in Italy in the role of Contact Architect for the London-based firm David Chipperfield Architects. In October 2003 he moved to Ancona, where he opened his own design studio and, simultaneously, he wins a PhD with scholarship from the Faculty of Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Marche where currently teaches Architecture and Architectural Design and he is a Research Fellow. Over the years, he developed a special focus on the themes of designing in archaeological areas tackleing in depth the ratio ancient/contemporary. He teaches and he’s in the Board of the “Itinerant” Masters Degree Program in “Architecture, Archeology and Museum Design – Innovative Design and Management of Archaeological Heritage” and he managed numerous workshop all over the world.

È dottore di ricerca e ricercatore di Architettura Tecnica presso il DICAAR Dipartimento di Ingegneria Civile, Ambientale e Architettura dell’Università degli Studi di Cagliari. Alla Scuola di Architettura di Cagliari è docente di Architettura Tecnica e del Laboratorio Integrato di Progetto e Costruzione 3 al terzo anno del corso di Studi in Scienze dell’Architettura; dal 2009 è coordinatore scientifico del workshop internazionale di progetto ARCILAB. Le sue principali esperienze di ricerca sono legate allo studio dell’architettura di base in Sardegna, alla redazione dei Manuali del recupero dei Centri Storici della Sardegna, all’indagine sulle nuove forme di habitat per i margini dei centri abitati delle aree interne della Sardegna. Le sue attività di ricerca applicata e i suoi progetti hanno ricevuto numerosi premi e menzioni in concorsi nazionali e internazionali di architettura fra i quali si segnalano il primo premio all’Europan 9 per il sito Carbonia Italia, e all’Europan 10 per il sito di Seilh Toulouse Francia. Nel 2007 e nel 2008 è stato inserito nell’annuario dei giovani talenti italiani premiati nel mondo. Dal 2007 fa parte del gruppo di ricerca Rehabimed e dal 2009 del progetto Montada, nell’ambito delle cui attività è stato fra i coordinatori e gli autori del Manuale di recupero per la città di Dellys in Algeria.
